Thorpes Flooring & Merchant Contracts Announce Merger
We are delighted to announce that Thorpes Flooring and Merchant Contracts have officially merged.
Now solely trading as Thorpes Flooring as part of the Thorpe Interior Group, the new entity will offer a wider and more comprehensive product range, whilst continuing to provide a specialist, highly-bespoke flooring installation service.
Adding such a broad product offering inclusive of timber, vinyl, sheet rubber, carpet tiles, loose lay LVT as well as many others, means Thorpes Flooring are ideally placed to undertake projects of various sizes and requirements, from full flooring packages to restorations to single room fit outs and everything in between.
About Merchant Contracts.
Merchant Contracts began operations in 2013, and has since worked with a multitude of notable clients across a range of sectors such as residential, commercial and hospitality.
With a small but experienced team led by founder John Collier, their operation is built around effective and honest communication to ensure their projects run smoothly whilst offering a high-class, personal service.
Shared History.
Thorpes Flooring and Merchant Contracts have crossed paths on previous projects one such being the Cadogan Hotel, London. Here, in his role as Director at Merchant, John spotted the clear potential of Hamish and his team at Thorpes and sees many mutual benefits in the merger.

This move allows both companies to combine their existing skill sets, adding the huge experience and efficient systems in place at the long-established Merchant Contracts, to the in-depth knowledge and hands-on skill of Thorpes Flooring, and adds another string to the bow of the Thorpe Interior Group.
